World Book Day 

This year, we celebrated World Book Day in school on Friday 6th March. The children dressed up with a theme of 'wow words' and took part in lots of exciting reading activities. Lots of parents, grandparents and family members came into school to share a story with their children. 


Reading Takes You Places Challenge

We would like to invite your family to take part in a ‘Reading Takes You Places!’ challenge! Where is the most interesting place that you and/or your child can read a book? Send your photos to info@matherstreet.oldham.sch.uk so that we can share them.

Football Coaching by Oldham Athletic

Thank you to Jack and Jake from Oldham Athletic's Community Team for giving the children the opportunity to take part in football training at school.

Letter from the Queen

One of our reception children sent the Queen a Christmas card and a letter. She was pleased to receive a reply from the Queen's Lady in Waiting.
